Atlas 134D JFK Launch

A Strategic Air Command missile combat crew from Warren Air Force Base’s 389th Strategic Missile Wing today successfully launched an Atlas ICBM from Vandenburg Air Force Base, California. This operational training launch was another in a program to return SAC ICBM missile combat crews from their operational sites to Vandenberg to demonstrate readiness with and actual launch.
